Undergraduate Education:

  • Undergraduate programme in Orthodontics is designed to enable the qualifying dental surgeon to diagnose, analyze and treat common orthodontic problems by preventive, interceptive and corrective procedures.
  • This programme provides an in-depth knowledge about the growth & development, diagnosis, treatment planning, material science, appliances and management of different types of malocclusions.
  • Clinical practice is limited to collection and analysis of records and correction of mild occlusal problems with removable appliances.
  • The subject is taught in III & IV years of study.

Teaching Learning Process
Teaching-learning process is the heart of education. On it depends the fulfillment of the aims & objectives of education. It is the most powerful instrument of education to bring about desired changes in the students.

With this in mind the college has all the infrastructural facilities and the dedicated teaching faculty, which makes the teaching learning student centric. The lecture methods, interactive teaching, project based learning, and evidence based learning help the students to understand the subject thoroughly. The department has some in inbuilt mechanisms like mentor system, identification of slow and advanced learners, academic calender, intensive clinical training etc in accordance with policy of the parent university.
