DANTHA BHAGYA YOJANE SCHEME

The Department of Prosthodontics and crown and bridge conducted a two-day complete denture camp on 20th and 21st January 2024 at the Department of Dentistry, Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences. A total of 23 dentures were provided under the Danta Bhagya Yojana.

The most recent event with the Danta Bhagya Yojane Scheme was a denture screening camp for edentulous was conducted at Chikkaballapur on 14/05/22 and 15/05/22 and 18 edentulous patients from the screening camp were selected and rehabilitated on 04/11/2022 to 8/11/2022 at the Department of Prosthodontics, The Oxford Dental College. A post- insertion check-up was done on 15/11/2022. All 18 patients were happy with their dentures.

The Government of Karnataka in the year 2015 started the Dantha Bhagya Yojane Scheme. This scheme was initiated to give free dentures for citizens below poverty line (BPL) . Total of 159 dentures have been delivered to the needy since April 2016 under this scheme in the Department of Prosthodontics, crown, bridge and implantology, The Oxford Dental College, Bangalore.
